As an experimental base for the Ministry of Education’s Basic Education Curriculum Reform, the CNC Primary and Middle School adheres to the educational philosophy of “Strengthening foundations, nurturing individuality, and serving the society” and the goal of “Consolidating fundamentals and fostering diverse competencies.” It has developed a comprehensive curriculum system built upon the national curriculum standards and content, guided by the objectives of high school entrance examinations. The school consistently implements the principle of “balanced development in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education,” and has established an extended curriculum matrix that includes STEAM education, social practice courses, arts and sports electives, and other programs aimed at enhancing students’ overall competencies.

English Language Learning and Teaching

In CNC primary school, we adopt Cambridge and Oxford English learning resources, with students achieving outstanding results that rank top among local schools. In middle school, students are grouped by English ability levels to prepare them accordingly for the CNC high school entrance examinations or build a foundation for learning in the international programs.

The CNC Primary and Middle School hold annual co-curricular events such as Math Festival, Language Festival, Reading Festival, and Arts Festival to boost students’ academic literacy. Club activities are offered across five dimensions: Humanities and Society, Science and Innovation, Labor and Technology, Sports and Health, and Arts and Aesthetics. Students can choose from a wide range of clubs, receiving full support for their individualized development.

Small-class Size

Every CNC Primary class has no more than 36 students, with both the homeroom teacher and assistant homeroom teacher stay in the classroom. Night study hours are are led by teachers, who help students with homework or organize reading.

"1+1+N" Mentoring Model

Each student is assigned one mentor and has a personal growth portfolio. Through multiple in-depth dialogues, students are supported holistically in spiritual guidance, academic planning and psychological support.
